Her decade of business litigation and risk management in a Fortune 5 company provides rare insight gained from the post-business conflict vantage point.
Ann received her J.D. from Wake Forest University in 1993 and spent her first 7 years of practice in boutique firms specializing in business law and litigation. She joined Mobil oil in 1990 and went into private practice when the company merged with Exxon in 2000. During her 10 years as in-house counsel for Mobil Oil, she worked as business counsel for numerous consumer products and manufacturing subsidiaries. She spent several years managing the company’s worldwide litigation portfolio with responsibility for claims and litigation in all subject areas.
In 2000, Ann started her own firm – preferring to retain the ability to have direct working relationships with her clients and to avoid the cost increases inherent in the large law firm model. With a vast network of specialists to call upon in areas such as tax, estate, and intellectual property, Ann provides effective comprehensive legal support to any individual or enterprise.
Ann’s high caliber legal services are cost effective as a result of the smart employment of technology and a low-overhead environment where the client receives personal service and fees aren’t multiplied by layers of junior lawyers typically used in a large firm.
